After 3 weeks of cooling between sets, his total number of repetitions in a workout increased to 60 (an improvement of 17.6%).
During a 4-week control period without cooling, he maintained his progress but did not continue to improve significantly. This control period was followed by another 2-week phase of cooling between sets, during which his repetitions per workout increased to 67 (a total improvement of 31.4%).
